WHAT IS THE EZ ROLLER?
The EZ Roller is a one of a kind machine that greatly reduces the amount of time and labor that is required to apply soundproofing material to your home.
HOW CAN THE EZ ROLLER HELP ME COMPLETE MY HOME PROJECT?
The EZ Roller holds the soundproofing material about six feet off the ground near the wall. This gives you greater control with the material and thus allowing you to create a professional quality installation for less money and quicker than just you and a few friends.
WHAT IS SOUNDPROOFING?
To soundproof means to make an area (a room or building) resistant to the passage of sound vibrations. The process requires the addition of an insulating material is inserted into or onto the walls and roof, thereby minimizing or all together eliminating whatever sounds that are produced from outside of the protected area. This application is most commonly associated with recording studios, as it is required to ensure that outside sounds do not interfere with the recording process and that the recording artist can capture the highest quality sound possible. While this is the goal, what we often refer to when we use the word 'soundproofing' is really sound deadening.
WHAT IS SOUND DEADENING
Sound deadening, or sound absorption is a process or material that reduces the resonance or volume of sound through the use of insulation, material, or pads.
SO... WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOUNDPROOFING AND SOUND DEADENING?
Soundproofing is the complete elimination of sound into a specific area. This is VERY difficult to achieve and requires an extensive amount to work and materials. Where as sound deadening, maybe better called sound absorption, is the ability to absorb sound vibrations out of the air and from transferring through materials. With the right combination of materials, disruptive noises can be reduced below what the human ear can hear, thus providing a "soundproof" enviroment
